September 2020, Boston, MA – OnePIN just announced that MTN has launched MediaX in South Africa with a mobile subscriber base of 25 million. MediaX is a new addition to OnePIN’s user engagement suite of services within South Africa.
Mobile customers want even more content on their devices as digital services are continuing to grow and become mainstream. Notably, the advertising spend waste is very large for mobile, given the limited channels available and the lack of conversion effectiveness of those channels. Oftentimes, content providers lack the ability to effectively promote their digital content to their mobile customers. MediaX, a user engagement service for content and media providers, offers superior mobile advertising targeting and eliminates waste.
The service enables the promotion of content and media to mobile customers via a “Digital Assistant,” helping customers choose, purchase and renew content subscriptions. OnePIN’s MediaX service is seamless, user friendly, and allows subscribers to access digital content with a simple opt-in process. Through OnePIN’s digital screens, operators are able to advertise effectively for the content providers as well as give the providers a platform to increase subscriptions. Mobile Operators generate revenue by providing new innovative advertising for content providers and by increasing data usage. Content providers have access to prime mobile real estate.
With this deployment, all mobile subscribers of MTN South Africa who have the Digital Assistant service will have access to MediaX.
